Members of our lab are all involved in science education to K–12 children and the general public, including EKU Division of Natural Areas' Family Nature Day and Saturday Morning Science, visits to local schools, and other public events. The photo above was taken as part of a news story about our work with a 4th grade science teacher, Christy Johnson, to get funding through Bluegrass Greensource to develop this outdoor classroom at the joint campus of Glenn Marshall Elementary and Michael Caudill Middle schools. We were able to build the wetland, teaching pavilion, and trails around the area for K–8 school kids.
